5th Fiat 500 Raduno Malta
Classic Fiat 500 Group Malta
The Fiat 500, also known as the Cinquecento, is an economy and city car produced by Fiat between 1957 and 1975. This affordable and practical small car came in various versions, including a two-door semi-convertible or saloon, and a three-door panel van or estate. Launched as the Nuova 500 in July 1957, it replaced the 500 “Topolino.” Measuring 2.97 meters in length and powered by a rear-mounted 479 cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 is recognized as one of the first purpose-designed city cars.
The gathering will offer participants the opportunity to not only admire historic Fiat 500 models from the golden age of Italian automotive history, exploring their history and evolution, but also to interact with owners and enthusiasts, exchanging valuable curiosities and information.
Birgu, also known as Il-Birgu or Vittoriosa, is an ancient fortified city on the south side of the Grand Harbour in Malta’s South Eastern Region. Occupying a promontory with Fort Saint Angelo at its head and Cospicua at its base, Birgu has a long history of maritime, mercantile, and military activities, dating back to medieval times. Its strategic location has made it an ideal site for safe anchorage.
